The Story Behind My Unique Art Process

Creating art is my new found passion where i started pet portraits later in life, but my journey as an artist is far from conventional. Living with a degenerative spine condition and fibromyalgia means I’ve had to adapt my process in ways that allow me to keep pursuing what I love.

Instead of sitting at a traditional desk, I work from a reclining chair and I use a specially designed sheet of glass with magnets to hold my paper steady while I draw and my tablet clips on also. This setup enables me to work comfortably for extended periods, despite my physical limitations.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my art is finding that my unique approach doesn’t hinder the final product. In fact, it often adds something special. The tremor in my hand sometimes creates unexpected lines, which bring a natural charm to each piece. Embracing these quirks has allowed me to create work that’s as unique as the pets I draw.

Sharing this journey with my clients makes every portrait even more meaningful. My art is proof that creativity can flourish regardless of disabilities and challenges, and I hope it inspires others to pursue their passions, no matter the obstacles.

If you’re curious about my process or would like to see your pet brought to life through my unique perspective, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s create something truly special together.
